Programming Contests
- Sphere Online Judge: An
exhaustive collection of problems. A few problems written by me: 1, 2, 3
- Topcoder: Fun and
addictive. One of my goals from my list of
ridiculously-unrealistic-and-useless goals was to go past a rating of
2200. But 2050
was the best I could do. Well, there's still time. Another of my ridiculously-unrealistic-and-useless
goal was to qualify for TCO finals in Vegas which I managed in 2008 in
Marathon track. I think I slept for less than 5 hours for 10 days
straight during the final online round. Some of my favorite
topcoders from India (in no particular order): myprasanna,
syco,
innocentboy,
humblefool,
konqueror
-- It takes both hardwork and talent.
- Google Code Jam: I
qualified for Google Code Jam India 2006 finals purely by chance and
thats when I started programming contests. I think I have learned more
from these contests than from any single course. Problems in Google
Code Jams tend to be fresh, unlike other contests.
- Codechef: Some very good
problem setters, cash prizes and no time!
- My cheesy
description of Dijkstra's algorithm from my undergrad days.
